I finished my management study in Amsterdam in 1976 and after 14 months of military service and a first job by Byk Nederland in Zwanenburg i started in 1979 as back office/calculator by De Zaanlandse Drukkerij en Verpakkingsindustrie vh EN Smit & Zn. The Company made commercial newapapers and paper packaging and was a pionier in quality Flexoprint. In 1979 already the company made 6 color printed SOS Bags from polymere plates in full color. After a buy out in the around 1985 the company continued as De Zaanlandse Verpakkingsindustrie producer of quality flexo paper packaging and SOS Bags. I was Managing Director at the Company. After a big fire in 1997 the Company was struggeling for 2 years and had to close. My next job was Sales Manager by Schut Papier & Plastics. In 2000-2001 i was CEO of Paccon BV, producer of SOS Bags. At the end of 2001 Paccon was sold to Papierindustrie Adriaan Dekker. By Adriaan Dekker i was Sales Manager, Head Backoffice/planning and Operational Manager Production. Over the years paper packaging was reduced more and more and manny companies had to shut down. The last 10 years Paper Packaging is has a strong come back and various new materials are developed.
